ABOUT SUMMER FENN

OUR PHILOSOPHY: The Summer Fenn Way
The Summer Fenn Way is about treating others well and helping make someone else’s day better. This is the essence of the Summer Fenn Way, and it guides everything we do.

The Summer Fenn Way is about the acceptance of others. It means being flexible enough to adjust challenges for each individual, so everyone can participate fully while being supported to stretch just a little further.

From the smile and high-5 they receive at check-in, to the traditional freezy-pop treat at pickup, every camper is warmly welcomed into our community whether they  stay for one week or for the entire summer.

THAT’S THE SUMMER FENN WAY.

OUR MISSION:
At Summer Fenn, our mission is to provide the most stimulating, challenging and enjoyable summer day camp experience for children ages 4 to 15. Combining challenge with support, we provide opportunities for campers to identify their personal strengths, learn new skills, increase self-confidence, and make new friends.  Our varied and flexible program options generate countless opportunities for exploration and creative expression, while enhancing each child's social, physical, moral, and intellectual development.

It is the policy of the Fenn School and Summer Fenn to maintain a camp environment that is free from discrimination and to conduct its practices, programs, financial aid policies and other camp-administrative programs solely on the basis of an individual's merit, qualifications and abilities.

The Fenn School and Summer Fenn do not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability.
Summer Fenn complies with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and is licensed by the local board of health (105 CMR 430.190,C)

In accordance with DPH regulations 430.191(D) Summer Fenn is to make parents/guardians aware that at the time application forms are provided, that the parent/guardian may request copies of background checks, healthcare and discipline policies as well as procedures for filing grievances.

The procedure to file a grievance must be made in a written format (letter or email). Greivances should be as specific as possible to the situation, location and parties involved. Upon investigation Summer Fenn will make its best determination of rectifying the situation and resolve it as efficiently as possible.

At the sole discretion of the Director, any disrespectful, harassing, and/or abusive behavior by parents/guardians of our registered/prospective campers toward camper families or staff will be considered a violation of Summer Fenn’s community agreements, and may be cause for refusal to enroll, or dismissal of that family from the Summer Fenn Program. This includes but is not limited to speech or harassment that targets an individual based on race, color, gender, religion, ethnicity, ability, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
